TOP 5 THINGS TO DO IN LONDON

IMG_9104 2.jpg

  • Bike around Hyde Park

Being a photographer, strolling through Hyde Park was a dream!!! Everywhere I turned looked like it was out of a movie scene. There were hundreds of different types of trees, plants, flowers, it was unreal! A giant lake right next to the walkway. It was amazing. The only thing that made it more amazing was taking all of it in while riding a bicycle! The park is extremely big. The bikes allowed us to see everything without taking too much time. It was amazing to watch the street performers blading down the sidewalk, the little kid who fed a pigeon out of his hand, while the wind blows through your hair and people wave as you pass by. It only costs about $2 for an hour. The cheapest, best thing we did in London!!

  • Peggy Porschen Cakes

My next favorite thing we did was drink tea and eat cupcakes at Peggy Porschen Cakes. The building was pink and full of flowers. The tea was delicious and the macarons and cupcakes were even better. The aesthetic of the entire place may have been cute, but the food tasted even better!!

  • London Bridge & London Eye

I loved our tour of the London Bridge!! First, we boarded the London Eye. The eye is a giant ferris wheel. When you’re at the top, you can see the entire city. It’s amazing!!! I love feeling small in situations like that. It makes me realize how big the world is, and how small I am. I remember that there are so many things going on around me.

NEXT we took a boat tour that led us to the Tower Bridge (aka the London Bridge). Many people don’t know, but it is actually called the Tower Bridge! The “London” Bridge is actually an extremely small bridge about a half mile away from the famous Tower Bride. The boat ride was beautiful and I wish I could do it again!

  • Cereal Killer Cafe

This was the most amazing restaurant!! It was a restaurant filled with every cereal you’ve ever heard of. The entire place was decorated with old cereal ads and momentos. You could try any cereal you’ve ever imagined! They mixed them, they added ice cream, it was truly amazing and worth the visit.

  • Kensington Gardens

Last but not least, was Kensington Gardens! The most beautiful place you could imagine. There were beautiful flowers and plants everywhere. We visited Kensington Palace inside, as well, where the Prince and Princess reside. We stopped for tea after and it was the perfect day.

Afternoon tea is the best part about London! Everybody is kind and proper. It’s a beautiful place to visit!! A few more things to do if you have more time:

    • Pot Roast meal on Sundays

    • Fish and chips

    • Hop on Hop off bus

    • Sky Tower Gardens

    • Windsor Castle

    • Changing of the Guards - Buckingham Palace

    • Westminster Abbey
